Restorative Dentistry Services

Is your smile holding back your happiness?

If your teeth are malformed, worn, damaged or lost, come to Corner Dental and let us turn you into the leading lady or superhero you deserve to be. We offer a variety of restorative dental techniques to bring back the function and health of your teeth, and the natural beauty of your smile. The following dental problems can be fixed using restorative dentistry, here’s how:

Cavities

  • Formed when tooth decay has eroded the hard enamel of your tooth and penetrated the sensitive inner tooth structure, untreated cavities can cause inflammation, infections, and serious complications like sepsis.
  • We remove the decay and replace the tooth structure with a filling made of silver, composite (tooth colored) resin, or gold. We evaluate your case and lifestyle to determine the right material for you.

Cracked, Worn, Damaged Teeth

  • The dentist removes any decay, and makes a wax mold of the affected tooth and the teeth next to it. The crown is custom made to fit a specific tooth, and blends easily into the rest of your smile. When finished, the crown is placed over the tooth, adjusted to fit, and cemented into place. We can also replace old crowns that you aren’t satisfied with.

Missing Teeth

  • Missing teeth can cause your other teeth to shift, which affects your bite, and can increase your risk of other dental problems like gum disease.
  • At Corner Dental, we can create a bridge that gives you back the function, strength, and beauty of your natural smile. Composed of artificial teeth, the bridge literally “bridges the gap” between your other teeth. It is anchored to the neighboring teeth, so unlike dentures, a bridge is non-removable.

Before a restorative dental procedure can take place, we must get rid of any decay, and shape the remaining tooth structure to suit the restorative technique being used. Fillings for cavities are the only restorative material created within the tooth itself, allowing it to be done in one visit.

All other restorative appliances or materials are created using a model of the tooth structure, and can sometimes take several appointments. In these cases, we use temporary devices to protect the tooth until the permanents come back from the lab.

No matter what kind of restorative treatment you need, you can trust that Corner Dental will provide a well-made, comfortable restoration that will last a long time.
